	I was at work earlier today when I heard grim news from my beloved... King of pop Michael Jackson passed away today after a heart failure left him in a coma he couldn't recover from. A sad event for not only his fans, but for the entire world as well. Very few people have had such an enormous influence on the world and its people, and he was also known to be a big fan of Sonic and SEGA as well as video games as a whole. Today, a star blinked out of existence... But its light will never vanish. Let us remember everything Jacko has done. Shamone!

	June 23rd, 2009 marks the 18th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, one of the biggest, most memorable classic series in gaming. Having transcended multiple forms of media throughout the years, the blue hedgehog is still going strong even almost twenty years from his creation, and so today, we raise our glasses to one of the most iconic faces of gaming and culture as a whole; here's to you, Sonic!
